Hi I'm Davis

I'm a pilot, a leader, a pianist and a thrill seeker. I dream big and live life to its fullest... and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a down to earth guy. I love sports, music, people and life. I relish quiet time. I love playing piano and use it as my escape from the world. I have been home schooled all my life. I thoroughly enjoy the outdoors. Running, mountain biking, camping, racquetball and ultimate frisbee are hobbies of mine. I'm an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. I'm a Cadet Second Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol. I am taking flight training in a C-172. I am a freshman in college, and I am attending school in Rexburg Idaho, at BYU-I. Also, I'm the second of six children. I am currently serving a mission for the LDS church in Manaus Brazil, from Jun 2013-Jun 2015.

Why I am a Mormon

Many people ask why I am a Mormon. Some say it is because my parents are, some because I was born into the LDS church; however, those are not the reason I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon, or a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have personally gained a testimony (or a confirming witness) of the truthfulness of the gospel. I have read and studied and prayed about the Book of Mormon. I can testify to you that every single word in that book is straight from God. I have a testimony of the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I know that they are God's inspired words to us given through His prophets. I have a testimony in the power of prayer, and the power of the atonement. This is why I am a Mormon. Not because of my friends, family or co-workers, but I am a member of the LDS church because I know the teachings found therein are true. The only way to know for a surety is to ask God, and I have done just that. I knelt down in prayer and asked for a confirming witness so that I could know for myself. I am a Mormon because I have received that witness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my daily life. I am an active member of my church and community. I love preforming service activities for people. I live my faith by being an example to those around me. I try my best to be honest, happy and selfless. I try to be a friend to all and help those in need. I try to make sure everything I do, say and act is in accordance with the the standards I have set and those that the LDS church has set. I try to live my life so that people can recognize me as a member of the LDS church from what I do, how I act and what I say.
