Hi I'm Tori

I am a college student, a sister, a daughter, a friend, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college freshmen. I love to read, play music on the piano, and sing. I am not very athletic but i love playing just to play and have fun with friends. I love making friends and just being around people. I love to serve and to help others in their times of need.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life. My parents are both members and raised me as one. There is not one definitive moment where i would say I gained my own testimony or began to believe for myself but there are many small moments that all fit together. I know that this church is true. If it where not I would not be where I am today. I would not have the strength I have to face every day challenges. I know that Joseph Smith truly did translate the book of Mormon through God's power. I know that he restored the Church that Christ established on the earth many years ago. I know that through Christ I can live again and I can be forgiven for all of my sins. I know that Christ suffered for me in gethsemane. I know that he knows every pain and every sorrow that I have ever felt. He bleed through every pore and felt ever pain sorrow and affliction of every person. I know that he did this for me personally because he loves me unconditionally. He also did it for every person because he loves everyone immensely. I know that he died on the cross so that I can return to live with him and my father in heaven again someday. I know that through him i can be forgive and receive eternal life. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me. That he loves me so much i cannot even comprehend it. I know that someday I will be able to be with him again. I know that part of his plan is for families to be together forever. I know that I can be with my family forever. I know that this church is the true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my day to day actions. I serve others any chance I get. I continually try to be like Jesus Christ. I try to forgive others and to show them the love that I have for them. I also participate in my church weekly. I lead the music in some of the meetings. I attend church for three hours every sunday to learn more about the gospel of Christ. When I was in high school every day before school I would attend a class at 6 am at the church to learn more about the scriptures. Now that I am in college i attend religion classes at my school. I try to emulate Christ always and that is how I live my faith.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Tori
Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God. He was born of the virgin Mary and was sent to earth to atone for our sins. I know that Jesus Christ came and lived on this earth. I know that he suffered in Gethsemane. He suffered every pain, sorrow, and affliction that I have. He knows exactly how I have felt. I know that he died on the cross for everyone. If there was only one person on this earth, Christ would come and die for just that person. That is how much he loves us. He loves and knows us each individually. He has felt the exact same way you have felt. He has felt the pain of your heart break. He has felt how much is hurt when your friends turned their backs on you. He has felt how much it hurt when you fell down and broke your arm. He has felt every pain that you and i have felt and He did that because he loves us. I know that Christ loves all of us no matter what. As Mormons we believe that Christ is the Son of God and he overcame death for us. Through him one day we can all be resurrected and live eternally with him. He loves us more then we can comprehend. Show more Show less
