Hi I'm Victor

I grew up in Alberta, Canada. I am a divorced father of four wonderful children. I work as a plumber/gasfitter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to spend time with my family and have tried to be a positive influence to those around me, including my family. I grew up in a smaller family and I have wonderful parents who strove to teach their kids to work hard and to live a value centered life. I worked hard as a kid and learned much of work ethic from my father. I love to play sports and enjoy the outdoors in my spare time. A few of these items are fishing, softball, floor hockey and basketball. Much of that revolves around my children now and trying to raise them with strong values and a balanced life. I spend a large amount of my time with my career which I enjoy. I am always learning and re-learning! I love the variety of things that I get to do with my job. I have appreciated the opportunities that my job leaves me to spend quality time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Much of my life revolves around the gospel and trying to live by its' principles. I was baptized when I was eight years old, however, my conversion started much earlier. I was raised by a wonderful mother who challenged me to gain a testimony of The Book of Mormon while I was very young. I remember reading its pages for much of my growing up years as I rode the school bus to school. It was not long before I began to recognize its positive influence in my life. I felt it provide peace to my soul and I noticed that I was more charitable to those around me. I know that it is a true book from God. It has led me to the knowledge that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's restored church with his authority and power apon the earth. Another segment of my life that added great value to my life and spiritual strength was serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I had never felt so close to God and felt so influenced by the Holy Spirit as I did teaching His gospel and serving my fellow brothers and sisters. It also gave me a deeper understanding of the Saviors gospel. I know that this gospel will help each of us to return to our Father in Heaven, the Father of our spirits. I firmly believe that studying the scriptures such as the Bible and Book of Mormon will aid in our progression in life and in understanding our purpose in living here. I am truly grateful for our Savior, Jesus the Christ, who suffered, taught, led by example, loved and died for each one of us. It is my hope that I may come to more fully know and appreciate our Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I presently have the priviledge of leading some of the children in our local congregation in the Cubs program. It is a wonderful opportunity for personal growth and to be an example to some of the young people that are near me. I also have had opportunities to share the gospel with other members of the church here and those that are not of my faith. I have had many opportunities to help the young people here to live their faith and to provide opportunities to them for personal growth. I also enjoy when these moments allow to strengthen my family and the ones around me!
