Hi I'm Soojin

I was born in Korea and grew up in Utah. I love yoga, snowboarding, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Korean American. I love yoga, snowboarding, and missionary work. I graduated from BYU. I worked full-time in Provo as a sales manager. I am serving a full-time mission for the Church in Canada. The gospel has become the most important thing in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that Heavenly Father loves me, and that Jesus Christ can heal my heart. I have felt the Holy Ghost in my life. I have asked to know if the Book of Mormon is true, and if Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. I have received my answers, and I cannot deny them. I have been through challenges throughout my life, and I can see the difference between when I lean on the Lord, and when I don't. It is only when I let Heavenly Father change me that I become who I want to be.

How I live my faith

When I volunteered as a translator for the missionaries, it was my favorite thing to do during my week. I loved to hear them teach the gospel of Christ to others from my country. And it gave me the opportunity to help participate in their journey to come closer to Christ. I have served various callings within the church, and they have helped me grow and become a better person. Teaching and giving talks have given me opportunities to learn more about myself and about God. And I love learning more about who God is, and getting to know myself. This gospel is all about learning who I really am. And how I can strengthen my relationship with my Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ.

What are some of the ways that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps those around the world?

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we are always looking for opportunities to serve and help those in need. Whether it is volunteering to help people evacuated from a forest fire, or just brightening someone's day with a friendly smile, we are constantly on the Lord's errand. I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who calls us to do His work to bless His children. The Book of Mormon teaches us that when we keep God's commandments, we are blessed with happiness (Mosiah 2:41). I know that the Lord keeps His promises to us. Show more Show less
