Hi I'm Benjamin Krutsch

I am a missionary, a student, a musician, a wrestler, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a musician who studies classical voice. I find Classical voice a great style to sing in because there are so many applications for it. It has helped me to sing in church, in a choir at my school, and it has even made it possible for me to go to college. I am also interested in computers and video games. I actually have a YouTube Channel where I play video games and show people how to beat them. I also have built and upgraded my own computer. In high school my favorite sport was wrestling, because of the lessons I learned from the sport. It taught me how to never give up, and that you must learn to believe in yourself. I am the fourth child in a family with six children, and I am preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church so for the longest time I was only a Mormon because my parents were. Later in my life I came to a point where I was living two lives. So I began to search for true happiness and I was instructed to pray with a fervent heart and to study the word of God. After weeks of doing this everyday I realized that I was happier, and I was making the people around me happier. I am a Mormon because of the love of Christ. His love has shown me great happiness that there is no way I would even want to give that up.

How I live my faith

I may live in Utah, but that doesn’t make living my faith any easier, in my opinion it makes living my faith harder. Everyday I am surrounded by other members of my faith and not all of them live life the way they should. This makes it easy just not care. I live my faith by serving. I am currently a youth council member of the local seminary program in the city where I live. This allows me to help my friends to live their faith more strongly while I strive to do the same. The calling also allows me to plan the out of class activities that many students participate in when they do not have to be at the seminary building. My calling helps me to live my faith because my faith comes from faithful service.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Benjamin Krutsch
Russel M. Nelson once said that "the earth was created that families might be." My favorite doctrine of the church is that families can be together forever. Everyday I am with my family and I have learned from my mother that when a family member dies we can still learn from them through genealogy. We are taught that death is not the end, that through to atonement and Resurrection of Christ that we will be able to live once more. We also believe in the sealing power. Which means that our family relationships on earth, whether they be brother to sister, parent to child, or wife to husband, will continue on in the next life. Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

Benjamin Krutsch
Joseph Smith Jr. was the first prophet in this dispensation. In 1820, America was in a time of great religious excitement, and Joseph was confused which church, if any, he should join. After years of scripture study, Joseph followed the council that he found in James 1:5 which states "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God....." Joseph decided followed this council and went into a grove near his house to pray. After his prayer God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, appeared before the 14 year old Joseph. Throughout his life, Joseph worked to restore the church under the direction of God through holy messengers. Through to power of God, Joseph was able to translate the Book of Mormon. In his life Joseph worked with an eye single to the glory of God, and until his death worked to build of God's Kingdom on Earth. He spent his life testifying of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
