Hi I'm Linda Bird

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Daughter of God and of wonderful parents who taught me to be receptive to truth when I heard it and felt it. I am a Wife and Eternal Companion to an amazing Husband and my best friend. I am a Mother to 8 children who keep me young and happy. I am a convert to this church. I love the ocean and beaches. I love the sun! I love nature. I love books even thought cant read them as quickly as I would like:0 I love chick flicks and popcorn. I love peace and serenity. I love to relax after a hard day's work.

Why I am a Mormon

As a youth I visited different churches and youth groups. It wasnt until high school that I met a boy that was different from any other. I had never heard of anyone that chose not fto follow the crowd because of religious beliefs until then. He was different. As we dated, He answered my many questions about a religion that would require their youth members not to participate in the "normal" acitivities of teenagers. The more I heard, the more it felt right and good. My heart would swell as I thoght of this for me.There were more answers to lifes' questions than I had ever heard before. I loved the concept that we lived with our Heavenly Father before we came to Earth. It felt right that Heavenly Father, Jesus Chris and the Holy Ghost were separate individuals and I could live with them again. The hope of being with my husband and family forever sealed in a temple for time and all eterenity sounded like a dream come true. I wanted that for me. I decided to be baptized. What of a church that an 18yr old boy can baptize with authority?? It was all making sense and becoming my new reality. I married that boy and we were sealed in the Washington D.C. temple for forever...to live togther beyond this one...not just "til death do us part." As I grew in the gospel and my understanding of what my Savior has done for me personally, I have grown to love HIm more and appreciate the great gift of the Atonement. I am grateful to be able to work hard, to repent and receive the forgiveness and the great gift that Jesus offers me. He paid for it all! That comforts me. Little did I know when I was so young, how much the sweetness of the message of eternal families would mean to me. When I was 27 yrs old, expecting our 3rd daughter her little heart was not compatible with this Earth life. She lived only 13 days. It was truly bittersweet.

How I live my faith

I have found that by starting my day with prayer and scrpture reading and studying I get more out of my day. It is then that I can be the hand's for God here to help and serve others.
