Hi I'm Drew

I'm a competitive swimmer, a water polo player, and a pianist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest sibling in my family of five. My parents are always there to support and encourage me to do my best at everything I do. I can go to them when I get discouraged or need help making a difficult decision. I also love my brother and sister. We have lots of fun playing outside on our trampoline or rollerblading in the basement. When I have nothing better to do, I enjoy sitting on the couch with my family's little chihuahua, Diggy. In addition to spending time with my loving family, I spend around ten hours a week in the pool. I practice almost every day, so I can improve my times at meets. Hopefully, someday I'll get to go to Olympic Trails and maybe even attend the OIympics with team USA. Although my life is often stressful because I am involved in swimming, I find comfort in knowing my Heavenly Father will help me endure through hard times.

Why I am a Mormon

The biggest reason I'm a Mormon is because of my parents. Ever since I was little, I attended church each week with my parents and learned the principles of the gospel. Now, every week, I feel the soft, warm feeling of the Holy Ghost in my heart. It bears witness unto me of the truthfulness of the gospel. I also feel comfort in understanding that my Father in Heaven has a plan for me. Because Jesus suffered and died for our sins, we can be forgiven and saved. Every six months, I have the opportunity to sit and listen to the living prophets of our church give us guidance, so that we can lead lives that are more like Jesus's. I know that one day Jesus Christ will return to the earth, and we will be judged according to our works. I know Heavenly Father lives and loves each and every one of us even when we make mistakes.

How I live my faith

Beyond weekly church meetings, I participate in the churches youth program for young men and women ages 12-18. Each week I attend activities that we participate in all together, or in smaller age groups. I attend youth conferences, watch general conference, and work to further convert myself to the gospel. I strive to gain a stronger testimony of Heavenly Father's plan for me, and of the atonement of Jesus Christ.
