Hi I'm Darcell

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Oregon. Married w/ a little girl.

About Me

I grew up in an LDS family. I am married with one child. My husband is not a member, but he is a great husband and father. My parents are/were great people. My Mom died ia few years ago, and my dad is remarried. I have 2 brothers that served Mormon missions, and 1 sister who served a Mormon mission. I love my family very much and wish that we could see each other more often, but it is difficult since we don't live in the same states. I like to do crafts, that doesn't mean I am crafty, just that I like to do crafts. I like to listen to country, pop, and Church music. I play the piano some, and like to sing. I love spending time with my husband and daughter. Sometimes the days go so fast that I feel that we don't spend enough time together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I know that it is right. I have read the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, and the Bible, and know that they are true. I believe that the Church is true also. I know that the teachings are so important for us, especially in these Latter days. I know that they help me in my everyday life and in raising my child. I don't know where I would be with out the Gospel in my life. I know the leaders of the Church are guided by Heavenly Father, who loves us and wants us to return to him. I know that if we live the teachings of the Gospel we can return to live with Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and with members of our family that have gone to Heaven before us.

How I live my faith

I try to live the teachings of the Gospel. I attend my Sunday meetings regularly. I try to do my best to fulfill the callings I have had in the Church throughout my life. I try to read my scriptures every day. I say my prayers, and pray often. I like watching General Conference every 6 months, and I like to hear what the leaders have to say all year round. I try to teach my child right from wrong, and help her try to understand Gospel truths. I have had callings in Relief Society and the Primary. I have also held other ward callings as well. I want to do what is right so I can return to live with Heavenly Father, and my family again. I have been a Visiting Teacher for many years, and it is great to be able to go and visit the Sisters in the Wards I have been in. I have enjoyed many visits from Home Teachers as well. I have attended Relief Society since I graduated from High School, and really enjoy it, and I also enjoy the lessons that are given by the Sisters. I have learned many things by attending my Sacrament meetings and Sunday School classes. I am amazed at how much the teachers know and are able to teach not just me but the others that attend as well. I am not good with putting my thoughts on paper, so I hope all who read this will be able to understand what I am trying to say.
