Hi I'm Denise

I love my family. I'm a divorced, single parent. I enjoy listening to a variety of music and attending concerts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Anaheim, California and attended Brigham Young University for college. I was married in the Los Angeles, California LDS temple. After being married for 13 years, I ended up divorced. I have a wonderful daughter who is now 20 years old. Even though things have been difficult at times-being a divorced/single parent-my daughter, the gospel of Jesus Christ and my family have been the strengths in my life to make it through. I am someone who tries to get along with everyone I meet and love to give anyone a smile to brighten their day. I try not to be judgmental of anyone, because I know everyone, including myself, makes mistakes and deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. I love teaching children and have had many opportunities to do so in the church by being a Primary teacher. I enjoy watching all kinds of movies and listening to a wide variety of music. Even at my age, I still enjoy attending concerts and hearing my favorite music live.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky to grow up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My family is wonderful and the gospel and church of Jesus Christ has always been the center of our lives and our strength. My family has always shared spirituality and good sense of humor together. Through the gospel of Jesus Christ and my family, I was taught love/kindness/service to others (everyone), daily prayer, the importance of the temple, dedication to God, dedication to your church callings, keeping your body clean of impure things and the importance of family in your life. I know that God, Our Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ live. I know we lived with them before we came to this earth and that we will return back to Them some day when our time is finished on earth. Living the best life we can and family/friendships is what is important in this life. Loving one another in a Christ-like way is also a secret to happiness in this life and the next. I know Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God and through this church restored the true gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. I believe the prophets and apostles (leaders of the church) since him are also true prophets and apostles of God.

How I live my faith

I try each day to do my best and be the best person I can - treating others as I would like to be treated. I do make mistakes, but., when I do, I try to repent and make amends in anyway I need to. I try to fulfill my church callings (Primary teacher and Visiting Teacher) to the best of my ability and with the Spirit of God. I try to show love and respect to all. I know that wherever you are, sometimes a smile can make difference in someone's day. I try to understand people and their problems and listen to them without judgement.
