Hi I'm Christian Young

I'm Australian. I'm serving a mission in Milan, Italy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a loving home founded upon the precious principles of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was taught to love my family and my fellow beings. After receiving my own testimony of the divinity of the Mormon faith I decided to fulfill my Priesthood duty and serve the Lord as a full-time missionary for two years of my life - a small token of my gratitude for everything He has given me. I am now living in Milan, Italy serving the wonderful Italian people. It is a pleasure to be able to share this precious knowledge of eternal families with all those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I love how practical the Mormon faith is. Jesus Christ taught us not only to believe in Him but to follow Him - this is a daily task. I have felt personal strength come to me in times of difficulty but have also rejoiced in His goodness when all is well. I have come to a great understanding of the goodness of our Heavenly Father and the Plan of Happiness which he has created for us, His children. Understanding this plan gives me a sense of belonging and helps me understand what I am to do with my life. I know that I am to prepare myself and my family to live with God once again through the Atonement of His Son, Jesus Christ. Since I have understood this purpose, my life has been directed in such a way to provide me with the necessary priorities to find joy in every-day living. Jesus Christ's Atonement gives me a chance to learn, improve, repent and progress. I will be forever grateful for what He has done and continues to do for me.

How I live my faith

As a full time missionary I love to teach people about Jesus Christ and help them increase their faith in Him. It's not my words that help people but rather the Spirit of God that is poured out on every earnest seeker of truth. I have personally seen that as these people seek to put God first in their lives, a joy like never before enters their lives and fills their souls with great satisfaction. They find that they have a great desire to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and be baptised by someone who holds His sacred Priesthood authority. Seeing these people change for the better is the most rewarding part of being a missionary. I love helping people come to church because when they do they feel an abundance of the love of God in their lives. They feel gratitude for what He has given them and an increased desire to serve Him. But above all, they feel at home.
