Hi I'm Joel Ellington

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As father of four and grandfather of five (and counting), family is so important to me. I have had the opportunity to live in and travel throughout the world. I enjoy meeting and learning about new people and cultures. I enjoy the outdoors, fixing things and, most of all, being with my family. I feel music is a great blessing that enriches my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I had a lot of questions about God and religion as a youth. My father encouraged me to investigate other religions, which I did. In my search, I found a connection with my Heavenly Father through prayer and the Holy Ghost. I asked Him, and He confirmed to me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was His church on the earth. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My heart's desire is to serve God and his children. I'm certainly not perfect, but I am happiest when serving. I am a Home Teacher, in that I have families that I visit at least once every month for friendship, study and service. My wife and I look for opportunities to serve others and community as we can. I teach in Sunday School and have served in many other church capacities in the various places we have lived. We have also recently involved ourselves in the local electoral process in an attempt to ensure we get the best people possible in public office for the better of the community.
