Hi I'm Jihyun Knudsen

I grew up in Korea and I have three wonderful children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Korea and lived there till I went to college in America about 20 years ago. I married to a wonderful man and we were sealed as a husband and a wife at the Salt Lake Temple about 19 years ago, and we have three wonderful children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by my older sister when I was 13. My parents are not still members of the Church and some of my siblings are less-active, but I have another sister and some nephews and nieces who are active in the Church. Growing up in the Chruch without my parents being mormon gave me a great desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with my loved ones and friends. And for this reason, my husand and I have decided to move to Korea to be close to my family and have opportunities to share the gospel with my family through love and examples. We've been in Korea almost 9 years and my parents are not still members but we saw many changes and blessings in their lives. The more you understand of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the more desire you have to share these amazing truths and blessings about who we really are. We are literal spirit sons and daughters of the same Heavenly Parents, which conforms us the truth that we all are brothers and sisters indeed. And Our Father in Heaven provided us a beautiful plan, that through our growth on this moral life, we can develop godlike attributes and be united with our Heavenly family again. Why am I a Mormon? Because I have a firm testimony that the Chrit's Church was once again restored on this earth with all the ordinances that are available through the divine priesthood which will enable us to go back to God's presence. All these, I found out for myself by the power of the Holy Ghost through personal prayers, studying the scriptures and listening to the prophets. So can everyone who has a desire to find out the truth.

How I live my faith

My full-time job is being a mother and a wife. And I find a true joy and happiness in these sacred responsibilies. Personally, my greatest desire is that my family knows that I love them more than anything in the world through my actions and deeds. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been helping me not to discourage in my shortcomings and weaknesses but continue to rely on the atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ and his mercy and keep trying to be like Him. Currently, I'm serving as a seminary teacher and it has been a challenging but a wonderful opportunity to learn and teach the words of God to the youth. I have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and that faith gives me hope that through his atonement, if I but do what He askes me to do, I will be endowed with the love from heaven towards God and the men. And with the pure love of Christ called Charity, I believe I can overcome anything in this life.
