Hi I'm Mynoa Ray Williams

I'm a Mormon. I Love Jesus Christ, and His True Church which helps me love Him more. I love my family, and everyone.

About Me

I am a mother of 12 children, and love it! I have 31 grandchildren and counting! I was one of 10 children, the second daughter of 8 daughters. We sang a lot, hoed cotton on my father's farm, raised watermelons, worked hard, loved each other, and loved life. I love to play the piano, read the scriptures, the words of living prophets today, and good books about great men and women. I love to garden. I love to visit with people, for then I love them more. I enjoy serving others, and sharing truths together which have blessed our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons. My beloved parents, grandparents, great grandparents, and great great grandparents were Mormons who loved the Lord, loved other people, shared truths with others, and, through their children, with me. I have loved the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints all my life, and have tried to live the gospel throughout my life. In my late teens, I wanted to know for certain, for myself, if this church was truly the Church of Jesus Christ, and directed by Him through living prophets today. For about two years I prayed and fasted occasionally, and sought for a strong personal witness for myself. We were on a church history family trip, and watching a movie about the martyrdom of the prophet, Joseph Smith, when I felt an absolute witness, that Joseph Smith, in reality, saw God and His Son, Jesus Christ, as he prayed for direction. I knew Joseph was a prophet of God and spoke the truth regarding all things. I knew the Book of Mormon is true, and the Church and gospel is true. I Love it. It brings me great joy. It is the best thing to help me be a mother, and all else I try to do.

How I live my faith

I like to start out the day early, before the family is up, to have my individual prayer and scripture study. I receive encouragement and help and hope when I pray and study sincerely. Then, our family, under the direction of my dear husband, likes to begin our day with a hymn, prayer, and scripture reading. It helps us parents have the opportunity to teach our children the truths about Jesus Christ. We all learn from the scriptures, about His perfect example and perfect love for each of us. They read the scriptures in turn with us from the time they can copy us saying the words first for them. Each can ask questions, and we can share together our love for Christ, His church, and for each other. We love to serve other people, helping with lawns, taking in some homemade bread or cookies, or just visiting. Whenever we are invited to serve in the church, like teach lessons, play the piano for others to sing or practice, help with sports teams, scouting, or sing in the choir, we love to respond and do what we can. We also love to help neighbors whether caring for children, helping in the garden or yards, helping move in or out, or bringing in food when there is sickness. Mostly, we want to try to live like Jesus Christ would want us to, and trust that He will help us do so if we try to do our best. We know that as we make mistakes, He will forgive us if we sincerely repent, which brings great joy and peace. We love to share the truth and happiness we feel about Christ with others, and enjoy learning from them. We want to give our lives in service to God, submitting our will to His. Primarily, this means we will try to serve others as He has shown us in His exemplary life.
