Hi I'm Ann Winder

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother. I am 62 years old and have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints all my life. My husband and I have 5 children. We have reached a time in our lives where we felt a need to give back to our Heavenly Father for all the many blessings we have received. So we put in our mission papers and we are serving a full time mission in Albania.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church. I loved my childhood. It was happy and carefree not like what children deal with now. After my husband and I started having children I wanted them to feel the love and safety that I had experienced as a child. Being a member of Christ's church was a big part of my upbringing and I desperately wanted my children to have that in their lives. I know that we all have difficulties in life that we deal with but I have come to know through experience that problems are a lot easier to deal with if you have a relationship with Heavenly Father and you have his help directing you through your problems. When we understand who is in charge then we rely on his wisdom that we come to understand in the scriptures and that helps us in our decisions. This is way better than trying to do things on our own.

How I live my faith

When I was a young mother I realized how important my example was to my small children. I think this alone helped me try very hard to make correct decisions. Not that I always did but I tried to always think about my actions. I have always had a strong belief in my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ; as I grew up I realized my testimony needed to be my own and not that of my parents. My mother passed away soon after I was married and That is probably when I first came to know my Heavenly Father very personally. Through prayer I came to know and feel his love for me. I knew and understood in a very personal way that I was his daughter.
