Hi I'm Jill

I'm a wife, a mother and a graphic designer for Snapfish. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a full time mother and part time graphic designer for Snapfish. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and taught 4th grade for 5 years. I served a mission in Venezuela and tengo mucho amor por la gente de venezuela! (I love the people of Venezuela!). I played basketball in high school and still occasionally play on a Rec League team. I'm currently trying to learn how to preserve food grown in my very own garden by canning or dehydration. I'm also trying to figure out how to teach my children how to work and establish good patterns of spiritual behavior in their lives. My oldest son was diagnosed with epilepsy, so medication and appointments with neurolgists are things we deal with on a frequent basis. I have weaknesses and challenges, but am content and happy with the life I have been blessed with.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but that is not why I am still a member. I am a Mormon because I have prayed to know if this was the true church of God and received a witness that it is. I am so grateful for the direction and purpose the teachings of the Church bring to my life. I'm grateful for the assurance that God is real and that Jesus Christ loves me. I am grateful to have a map that leads me through this life back to God. I am grateful for the strength that comes through making good choices and following the commandments of God. I am so grateful for the Atonement of Christ and the knowledge of how to access the Atonement to cleanse and heal me. I love the Savior, Jesus Christ and know that He lives!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my assignments in my ward. I am currently assigned to teach the adult Sunday School class, and I love the personal growth that I receive as I study the scriptures in preparation for teaching. I have also had assignments working with the young children and in serving in the women's organization of the Church. I served as a missionary for 18 months in the country of Venezuela. I also live my faith by being a friendly neighbor and by being kind and courteous to all I meet. I try to pattern my life after the life of Jesus Christ and hope that my faith is apparent by the life I live and the light in my eyes.
