Hi I'm Stephen Richardson

I'm Canadian, I speak spanish, I love to play guitar, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Canada. I love music. I am serving as a missionary in Utah, speaking spanish. I like to play football and soccer. I have worked at all kinds of places from McDonald's, too 4 star restaurants, too landscaping companies, too teaching people how to play guitar. I will be attending collage when I return home to receive a Bachelors Degree in Business.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church. My family are all members of the church. I always knew that the church was true and it was the place I needed to be, but an experience I had while on a youth trip helped me gain a stronger, more independent testimony. We went to Nauvoo, Illinois to visit the church historical sites, and we went to a building called "The Hall of the 70's". This building is where all the olden day members of the Quorum of the 70 were taught how to magnify their callings. Our youth group had a testimony meeting there. My older brother, being the most senor of the youth opened the meeting and bore his testimony of the living Savior and the truthfulness of the Church. As soon as he spoke the spirit of God filled the room. It was so powerful, I can only describe it as feeling great. The spirit is God's way of communicating with us. It speaks to us, and we can recognize it through our emotions and feelings. I was so full of joy and happiness that I cried for the full hour and a half that we were in that meeting. I knew that was the Love of the Lord filling my soul. I know that his church is true, and because of that moment I understand more clearly, how God speaks to me.

How I live my faith

I actively search the scriptures and plead with my Father in Heaven to guide me through my life. Through our actions and our diligence we can come to know who Jesus Christ is. As a missionary I have learned a lot about serving others, the way Christ served. I have learned that as we do the same things he did, we can feel what he felt.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Stephen Richardson
You must have a desire to know Jesus Christ. Speak with the missionaries. Read "The Book of Mormon", ponder, meditate on the things it says. Pray, and ask God if it is a true book. If "The Book of Mormon" is true, then the church is true. The spirit of God will answer your prayers by bringing you feelings of joy, peace, and love. Satan will send things, and sometimes people, to make you feel sad, scared, and angry. If you feel good, then it is of God and it is true. Show more Show less
