Hi I'm Kamie.

I'm a composer, producer, diaper-changer and classic movie-lover. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a married mother of three, and I cherish every moment with my husband and energetic children (aged 13, 10 and 2). I also love running, swimming, writing and producing music albums, and traveling around the world. I love meeting new people from all different backgrounds, ages and places. They make life so interesting!

Why I am a Mormon

My dad grew up Mormon, but my mom converted front the Methodist faith (for which we all had great respect in my family) at age 21. Having her dual-perspective on faith was very valuable to me. I'm a Mormon because, regardless of being raised in the faith, I discovered for myself, through study and prayer, that the things I'd always learned were, in fact, true. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, lived a perfect life, suffered in Gethsemane, and died on the cross for all mankind. I also know that He still lives today, that He loves me, and that He wants me to be happy. I can get guidance for my life from both the Bible and the Book of Mormon, which also testifies that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. I know this because I've studied it prayerfully throughout my life, and I can feel its truth without question. I also know that God has given us a living prophet that gives us direction on the earth today. I feel so blessed to have these gifts to continually guide me and my family through our lives.

How I live my faith

I do my best to live my faith every day. Like every woman, I try to be the best person I can be -- a good wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, teacher and professional. This can be difficult at times, because as women, we all fill so many pairs of shoes! But I find constant support in the women's organization in my church called the Relief Society. It's the largest women's organization in the world, with millions of members. It's focus is to serve and strengthen people, both physically and spiritually, and I enjoy volunteering my time to do humanitarian work and plan activities and events that encourage self-improvement and education. Outside of church, I've also loved volunteering as a staff member for an annual Americanism program where I've taught thousands of teen girls about the legislative process, leading mock Senate and House of Representatives sessions for over 15 years. I've taken great pleasure in passing on my love for America to these bright, remarkable young women. When it comes to music, I try to do my best as a composer and producer to create uplifting music that will do some good! There are so many messages in music, both good and bad, that can (and DO) influence those who are listening. Music is extremely powerful, and I certainly want my work to encourage positive thoughts and actions. Always.
