Hi I'm Tyson

I like to have fun. I like to play golf and sports in general. I like Mt. Dew. I love my family! I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in the North Carolina Raleigh mission. I have a great family. I love sports... I'm a Mormon!!!

Why I am a Mormon

The Book of Mormon is central to conversion. I used to doubt a lot. But after prayerfully reading the Book of Mormon I KNOW that it is true. I know that any honest seeker of truth that reads the Book of Mormon will come to know with a surety that it is the word of God. After I knew the Book of Mormon is true I knew other things. I knew that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God ( meaning that we now have a current living prophet). And I knew that Jesus is the Christ. That His church has been restored to the earth. And that it was crucial for me to live my life that fit with the way members of Christ's church should live. The priesthood authority of God has been restored to the earth. It is a blessing to hold that priesthood and I know it will bless my own family in the future.

How I live my faith

Prayer is something that I really rely on. Whenever I am struggling or feeling down, prayer is the fastest way for me to feel better. The Book of Mormon is amazing. There are so many things to learn in it and I love every time I learn something new. The family is key to the creators plan. And it is my main focus. I want nothing more than to have a happy family and I know living the restored gospel is the best way to have happy family relationships.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Tyson
When Jesus was on the earth he knew that his time was limited to minister. Yet, he chose to walk 60 miles to John the Baptist to be baptized. Why? Because at the time John was the only one on the earth who had the authority from God to baptize. If authority wasn't essential Jesus could have pulled any of the Sadducees or Pharisees of the street who at the time professed to have the authority to baptize. But he didn't. He took the time to walk 60 miles through barren wilderness to seek out John to baptize him. Show more Show less
