Hi I'm Dee

I am a Zimbabwean and a devout Mormon. I dedicate my activities to missionary work.

About Me

Hey, i am Dee, i'm 27 years old and i work as a Business Development Manager in a customer services consultancy. I am a devout LDS who is fully converted and adhere to the gospel standards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

The fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has changed my life since i joined the church back in 2005, now i know beyond any doubt that i belong to this church and this gospel is my only gateway to Eternal salvation. I love the gospel, i love my church mates, i sustain all my leaders and strive to live an exemplary life. The Mormon doctrine promotes good health (through the word of wisdom), moral purity (through the law of chastity) and keeps families together as it focuses on the family as the basic unit of the church. Because of eternal marriages the rate of divorces is very little and i'm confident if i stay a Mormon i will live longer, stay healthy, be morally clean and keep my own family intact. I want to strive to keep all the commandments because the kingdom of God is nigh.

How I live my faith

Since i joined the church i have participated in many ward, stake and community projects. In terms of callings, i started as a Sunday school teacher then i was called to be the Sunday school president. I was released and called to Young men President before i was called to the bishopric. For three years i served in the Bishopric before i was called to be the Elder's Quorum president. I served as Elders Quorum president for almost a year before i moved to another ward because my job required me to move to another city. About the same time i was serving in the bishopric i was called to be the Stake Public Affairs Assistant to the Stake Director of Public Affairs. I have participated in all Mormon helping hands projects in our stake and as a Public Affairs assistant, i helped in formulating our local Mormon Helping hands day projects. I have helped in educating the public as well as opinion leaders in our community about the church through some events such as Dinner for Ten for opinion leaders. I was called as a ward missionary a year after i was baptised and i helped full time missionaries proselyte. I also view home teaching as the most important duty of any Priesthood holder. As an Elder's quorum President i was directly in charge of home teaching and i did my best to keep home teaching figures high. My target for our ward was 100% home teaching!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Dee
No one can really tell you that the church is true, only God through the Holy Ghost who is the revealer truth. As indicated in James 1:5, in order to learn the truth you must ask of our Heavenly Father and he alone will reveal the to you that the church is true. Show more Show less

How does the Church finance its operations?

Dee
The church finances its operations mainly through tithes paid by the faithful members of the church. Members of the church pay a tenth of their earnings and it is not so much a matter of money as it is a matter of faith....an honest tithe is always a ten percentum of your earnings plus all your heart! And that heart should be a broken one, and a contrite spirit. Show more Show less
