Hi I'm Andrea Brown

I was born and raised in Minnesota but recently moved to Missouri. I'm 16 years old, I play the cello, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Minnesota until recently when my dad's job was transfered to Missouri. I am a junior in high school and the youngest of five children. I play the cello but not very well. I love watching old movies with actors like Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart in them. I also love to listen to old music as well. My favorite singer is Dean Martin but I also love singers like Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. When I go to college I want to go to BYU Idaho and study to become a social worker and work in foster care because I love kids and want to be able to make a difference in peoples lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I started out a mormon because I was raised one but as time went on found out for myself that the gospel is true. I never really had any trouble believing the gospel is true, because I have felt the Holy Ghost so many times in my life at church and reading the book of mormon and at church activities that it would be impossible for me to look back on all of those feelings and deny what I know deep down is true. I am currently reading the book of mormon and am learning so much. I never want the feelings of the holy ghost at church and when I am helping others to ever go away and I know that if I stay true to the teachings of the gospel they never will. I know with my whole entire heart that Thomas S. Monson is the prophet, Jesus is the Living Christ, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every sunday and wednesday for youth activities. In my ward in Minnesota I had the calling of directing the music at these activities as well as during class on sundays. I was also first coucilor in my ward's young womens presidency. Here in Missouri I don't have any callings yet but hopefully soon I will. I also live the gospel by helping others every chance I get whether it be at church or school or wherever I may be.
