Hi I'm Adam Hammill

I'm in the Coast Guard, stationed in New Hampshire. I try everyday to serve Jesus Christ and my fellow man. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm happily married to my best friend and a father of two wonderful young children. I find running and music to bring me peace. Right now I'm currently in the process of obtaining a degree in Psychology, while serving full time in the United States Coast Guard. Within my job as a cook I enjoy the opportunity to serve others and the chance to interact with those I serve in the kitchen.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child and teenager I always believed in Jesus Christ but never felt connected to the non-denominational Christian churches I attended. Therefore I began to believe all organized religion to be man made. I told myself at 16 that I would have a relationship with Christ and leave out the whole church thing, that relationship never grew. I later moved to live with my father in Utah, where I swore I would never become Mormon, and out of the 19 of 20 mouth that I live in Utah I wasn't but one day a stranger talked to me at work about his conversion to the Mormon church and I was interested to learn about what Mormons really believe. I found out that Mormon believe in a living Christ, loving God and loving their Neighbor. I felt the Holy Ghost and the light of Christ like never before! From that day forward, I got baptized, and I've tried everyday to be a better Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Friend, Shipmate, Worker, Neighbor, and Person. Using Jesus Christ as my ultimate example. One of my favorite scriptures from the Book of Mormon is; 2 Nephi 25:26, "...we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ... ".

How I live my faith

Service helps me draw closer to Christ, and when we are in the service of our fellow man we are in the service of God. I also believe in finding the best in others, regardless of what their faith is, or is not! I've learned that God is love and, that contention is not of God.
