Hi I'm Matt

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love cooking, especially grilling, I love sports, rock music, I like electronic gadgets. Spending time with my family is very important to me. I have been married over 19 years, we have 5 children 2 Girls and a boy and 2 boys in Heaven.

Why I am a Mormon

When the Missionaries came to visit our home, it was an answer to my wife's prayer. The message that the Missionaries taught was the Plan of Salvation. The lesson and their message made sense, it was what I had always believed; where we came from, why we are here and where do we go. The messages and lessons they taught us over the next few months resonated with the entire family. My wife was baptized first in July 2010 then I was in August 2010. I baptized my oldest daughter a week after me, my younger daughter in October 2010 and my youngest son was baptized in February 2011. Over the nearly 2 years we have been members my family has grown stronger, we are closer. The Spirit is strong in our home. We pray together daily, we read scriptures. My children love the Church and all their activities, including Scouts and young woman programs. Another part of the Church, I love so much is serving. Serving opportunities are available in so many ways; moving a family in to a new home, helping an elderly family garden their yard, helping a family after a Hurricane or serving at a Church Storehouse for the less fortunate - Opportunities to serve are endless.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith in many ways. The most important way is by being a Good Husband and Father. In the Church, I go out with the Missionaries about once a week to teach lessons to those investigating the Church. I also teach lessons during our Sunday meetings and in that Sunday Meeting group I am a Secretary, helping the Leadership in that group with given assignments. I also on occasion lead teams when a new family may move into a new home and I volunteer at a Church Storehouse that provides food for those who are in need.
