Hi I'm James

I believe that anything is possible, I am a doer, I love my amazing family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is James A. Little III, I come from Salt Lake City, Utah and I have been here since the day I was born. I am currently in college studying to be an Accountant. I love life, it truly is the greatest gift I have even been given!I have two brothers and two sisters, they all rock. I have two amazing parents who have taught me so many important principals and lessons that have changed my life. Some of my favorite things to do include listening to music (Chris Brown, Ratatat, Vampires Weekend, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Shakira, Usher, Jack Johnson, and Boston are just a few of my favorites), playing soccer, spending time with my friends and family, dating, school, and learning about life. I enjoy being busy and making life worth living. My live motto is - "Go BIG or go HOME" - so in essence of this I always live life to its fullest. I have goals, I have places to visit, I have people to meet, I have adventures to have, and I have things I want to do before I die. For these reasons I progress every day. Life is a game - when a turn is wasted there is no going back. I recently returned from serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I served in the California, San Jose mission - Spanish speaking. It was incredible, a life changing experience. The skills, lessons, and habits that I learned while serving a mission define me. It was incredible. A life long lesson that I have learned while in California is that "You can do HARD things"

Why I am a Mormon

A wise man once told me - "Wether we are born in the church or not, we are all converts!" I find this to be 100% true, and in my case, I was born in the church. I grew up in a great family ward and I was taught the basic principals of the Gospel of Jesus Christ since day one, however "we are all converts!" The change took place, the conversion happened, the light bulb turned on. It didn't happen over night or in a defining experience that I had, however it took time. It was a process, it was slow and steady, but firm and immovable. It happened while simply doing the things that we have been commanded to do. Go to church, read the scriptures, pray, develop Christlike Attributes, and doing these things continually until they make a CHANGE. Conversion = Change. It is simple, if you want to be converted, you need to change!

How I live my faith

Simple - I live my faith by being the best I can be. That is all God and Jesus Christ want out of us. Life is not easy, we cannot expect for life to be full of wonderful events and not have to struggle, work, or feel the pain of something - however we can expect to have a good attitude and have a strong desire to do the best we can when we do face those trials. I show God and Jesus Christ my desires to live my faith by being grateful for all I have been give, by sharing what I know with others, by doing what is asked of me, but most importantly, by being the best that I can. In whatever scenario - school, dating, family, sports, trials, and blessings. The best we can do is press on. Life is tough but "We can do HARD things!" - James A. Little III One who gains strength by overcoming obstacles possesses the only strength which can overcome adversity. – Albert Schweitzer I ask not for a lighter burden, but for broader shoulders. – Jewish Proverb Prosperity is a great teacher; adversity is a greater. Possession pampers the mind; privation trains and strengthens it. - William Hazlitt

Are Mormons Christians?

James
To be Christian: A person who adheres to Christianity. Central to the Christian faith is the gospel, the teaching that humans have hope for salvation through the message and work of Jesus, and particularly, his atoning death on the cross. As a human being with a firm believe in God and Jesus Christ, I try and do all that I can to follow their example, to be as they are, and to learn and become better daily. I have found that being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints helps me do exactly that. If following Jesus Christ makes me a "mormon" then I am ok with that. To answer the question: Yes! Mormons are Christian because we strive to be the best we can and to follow the example of Jesus Christ. We also. as it says in the description. believe in the Crucifixion of our Savior Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

James
Family = Everything! For me personally, I believe that Heavenly Father gave us our families to be happy. Simply put, we are here with our families because Heavenly Father wants us to be happy. The focus that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints puts on the Family has helped me understand the plan that God has for us and how the members of our Family can help us accomplish that which we were sent to do. Not all of us have a perfect family. Lots of us come from broken families, divorced parents, and families filled with problems. These struggles are part of Gods plan for us and help us grow. All though we might not come from a perfect family, we ALL have a loving God in Heaven and brothers and sisters who surround us daily. We are all one family and we all are here for one another. Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

James
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is centered on 5 simply points. Faith - Repentance - Baptism - The Gift of the Holy Ghost - Enduring until the End. Baptism is simply the first ordinance that we perform to show Heavenly Father how much we love him, how we want to progress, and how we want to make those "changes" in our lives to have a closer relationship with him and his son Jesus Christ. Baptism is a covenant. It means that we are going to be Witnesses of Christ and we will do what we can to keep the Commandments that God has given us. In return God blesses us and with this covenant we can receive so many blessings because of our willingness and desire to follow the example that Jesus Christ gave us so long ago! Show more Show less
