Hi I'm Brooke

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm exceedingly happy in my marriage. My husband is hilarious and generous, and I'm crazy about him. I have 3 children ages 3, 2, and 1, and am due in September with our fourth. My life is largely about caring for the kids. The kids and I stay pretty busy going on outings almost everyday, playing outside, reading books, and pretending. When my husband isn't working, we do everything together with the kids. We love to show them the world around them, and watch how they experience it. I'm happiest when we're all together. We're pretty pooped after all that, but I do try to do things that are fulfilling for me; I like to write, read, bake, and sing.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know this is where the gospel of Jesus Christ, in its entirety, is found. And I'm a Mormon because it's a sensible, peaceful lifestyle to lead, and a wholesome way to bring up my children. I want my children to know Jesus Christ the way that I continue to come to know Him. I've been a member of the church my whole life, but I like to stay openminded and sensitive to other people's faiths, and so I've done lots of reading and discussing. Nowhere else have I felt satisfied with the doctrines of Christ being as completely and correctly taught as they are in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving and serving my husband. I live my faith by teaching my children about Jesus, teaching them values and correct principles, reading the scriptures with them, and praying with them. I teach the 5 year-old children's Sunday school class, and I try to be otherwise helpful within my congregation. I try to be kind to people I come into contact with daily, and be a light to them. I live my faith by looking for ways to help family and friends in their times of need, and by allowing them to help me in mine. I live my faith by leading a clean, moral life, and by abiding by the principles of the gospel.
