Hi I'm Meghan Reeder

I grew up in the United States. I am a college student. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

Life is great! I know I am a daughter of God. We all are God's children. I am a college student majoring in international studies. I have always been fascinated with the culture and tradition of other countries, religion, history, and people. I love spending time with my family. I love photography, listening to music, singing, reading mystery novels, and learning something new each day.

Why I am a Mormon

I enjoy life. I am so grateful for our Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father has created a plan for all of us His children. He loves all His children perfectly. His love is always there for us even when we feel like we don't deserve it. I served as a missionary in the Virginia Richmond mission. My life has forever changed, because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As we have faith in Jesus Christ we desire to change our ways to become in harmony with His teachings. We repent, and change. We further desire to make, keep, and renew those covenants we make with God. One of those ordinances we make is baptism. After baptism we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. The gift of the Holy Ghost is a gift given to us. We receive comfort, guidance, and direction. The gospel of Jesus Christ enables us to receive hope and strength no matter what we go through in our lives. My family is an important part of my life. I have found true joy and happiness in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Knowing that families are forever has brought peace and joy to my life. I have had both of my grandmother's and my grandpa pass away in these last few years. Even though they have passed away I know that this life is not the end. There is life beyond the grave, and I know that I will be able to see them again. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because I know that we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father who personally knows all of His children. I know that our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ, know what we are going through in life whether it may be challenges, trials, sicknesses, loneliness, and heartaches in life. We can turn faithfully to our Heavenly Father in prayer and He can help us. I know that our Savior Jesus Christ loved all of us so much that He atoned for all of our weaknesses, sicknesses, sins, and infirmities so that if we would come unto Him we can live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I love serving others in my ward and in the community. Jesus Christ led by perfect example of how to serve others. By serving others we serve our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ always sees others as they can become. When Christ came to the earth He taught His gospel and gave us commandments to live by. I know that by keeping His commandments I have found joy and happiness in life. God has taught me that it is important to read, study, and ponder the scriptures. The scriptures help us know God, His Son Jesus Christ, and Their plan for us. The scriptures draw us closer to God and our Savior, and help us feel of Their love and peace. Prayer is also an important role in strengthening our relationship with God and Jesus Christ. God wants to hear from us. We are His children.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Meghan Reeder
Our Heavenly Father created a perfect plan for all of His children when we lived with Nim in the pre-mortal life. We lived with Him as spirits. He created a plan where we would go to an earth and receive a physical body, and gain experiences. Heavenly Father wanted to test us to see if we would choose to follow Him. There would be challenges, trials, and temptations. God knew that sin would prevent us from entering into His presence. Nothing that is unclean can dwell in His presence. We needed a Savior. Heavenly Father chose His Son Jesus Christ to pay a perfect sacrifice. He would come to earth and suffer for all our sins, temptations, pain, sickness, and trials everyone would go through. He came, He died, and He rose again. He lives today. Because Christ lives we can use the repentance process to become clean. We can change, and become the person God sees in us. We can also receive the strengthening power of His Atonement when we go through trials. He will lift us up beyond anything we can ever become on our own. Through exercising faith in Jesus Christ, kept the commandments, and endure to the end we can make it back to live with Them someday. I know Christ's Atonement is very real. I have felt Christ's redeeming love and power in my own life. Christ's Atonement is available for everyone. Show more Show less
