Hi I'm Luke

I love the ocean. I love laughing and having a good time. Im a missionary. And Im a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Germany, but moved to Annapolis, Maryland when I was 12. My dad is american and my mom is German. I lived right close to the water, so i loved boating and jet skiing, pretty much anything on the water. I played in a band and ran track in high school, and went to college for a year before my mission and was studying to be a paramedic and ran track there as well. Right now I'm serving a Spanish-speaking mission for the Church in Salt Lake City, Utah, and loving every second of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised Roman Catholic, since thats what my mom was, as well as my grandparents. Its tradition, so naturally it just made sense to be catholic. The missionaries actually began teaching my family around the time I was born, and continued stopping by for about 12 years. I remember always having questions about the Catholic church, but no one could ever really answer them for me. For example, why infants needed to be baptized, or why all of our prayers were always the same. So I knew that there had to be more, but I never gave it much thought until I was a teenager. My mother made the decision to become baptized in September of 2003, and I was baptized with her. It was the best decisoin Ive ever made, and it has opened so many doors for me. It wasnt until I was about 17 until I gained my own testimony, and since then, my life has completely changed. It gives me direction, support, and so much more!

How I live my faith

Well Im serving a missoin for the church right now. You meet tons of different people with way different backgrounds all the time. Everyday we meet someone new, and hearing about other people's experiences and trials helps me to prep myself more for life after the mission. Im way stoked to apply the things that I have learned in working with different people in my day to day life after the mish.
