Hi I'm Kevin Dewey

I am a UX Designer, an adventurist, an Oregonian, I speak Tex-Mex, and I am a Mormon

About Me

I am 24 years old, and I have had an amazing Life to this point. My greatest joys come from reading the scriptures and feeling Gods spirit enter my heart. I love serving others, and seeing Gods hand in my Daily life. I love being around my family and that infuses me with the hope of eternal life with them, soon. I get great satisfaction out of being in the outdoors. I love hiking deep in the woods of Oregon, and high on mountain peaks. I love feeling the cool fresh breezes on the great Oregon coast and swimming in its ice cold agua. I enjoy long distance running in the open farm fields where I live. I enjoy cycling and pushing myself to the limits. I am a P90X enthusiest and I "Do my best and forget the rest." I am a Blazer Believer- that is of the Portland Trailblazers. And I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up under the loving direction of my parents in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I felt the church was true all my life but i didn't have a sure knowledge. When i was 14 my family had the unique opportunity to travel to Palmayra New York and to be actors/participants in the Hill Camorah Pageant-which is a annual pageant that Depicts scenes from Book of Mormon and how it came to pass in these latter days. I was a Lamanite warrior and enjoyed participating in the battle scenes against the nephites. In the end of the Book of Mormon there is a huge battle where many people die. I was one of those fallen soldiers. In this scene of sorrow Moroni concludes the record and invites all who will read this book in the future to "Ask God the eternal father in the name of Christ if these things are not true, and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, he will manifest the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost, and by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." On one occasion during a performance those words of Moroni pierced deep into my sould and i thought to myself, "Kevin, you've never asked to know if its true." That night i made a resolve to read the whole book, something i had never done, and then to ask God if it was true. In the following months I read the book and during seemingly each page i felt a warmpth enter my soul, and when i finnally finished, i asked god, and I felt that same spirit. I know the Book of Mormon is true, and because of that I know the trueth of all things, and thats why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I represent Jesus Christ every minute as one of his representatives in the great state of Texas.
