Hi I'm Tanner

I am an 21 year old missionary. I'm a tumbler and a wrestler, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am now a missionary for the Church and am serving in the Belgium/Netherlands mission! I am the oldest of four children, with one younger sister and two younger brothers. I went to school for a year at Brigham Young University studying Business Management.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints. My testimony of the truth and divinity of this Gospel has come piece by piece over the years, not through any one specific event. I have known that the Gospel was true and that my Heavenly Father loves me, ever since I was a young boy and I first read the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is an inspired text, and that it truly testifies of Christ. I am a member of this Church first and foremost because I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and I want to make them proud of me and become like them. I am also part of this church because of the happiness that it brings to me. I have watched people my whole life struggle and give up because of difficulties and sin. The blessings and the happiness of the Gospel are incredible. Another reason I am part of this church is because of my desire to share the happiness that I feel with those around me. I want to help people to see the divinity of the Gospel, and to see the blessings and joy that they can recieve for themselves and their families if they come to Christ.

How I live my faith

As I have served for the last couple of years as a missionary, I have learned and grown to see how universally applicable the Gospel is for me. I live my faith every day in everything I do. I definitely have a lot of shortcomings and weaknesses, but through the Atonement of Jesus Christ I can live my life with satisfaction and confidence. I have a deep love for learning and I thoroughly enjoy spending time studying in the scriptures. The stories that can be found there are so powerful and applicable for our lives. I have also found that living the Gospel comes in small ways. Going to church every Sunday, praying, reading, and sharing the Gospel with those around me are consistent ways that I can deepen my faith and uplift those around me.
