Hi I'm Patrick M. Hennessy

I'm a Mormon. I was born in Maine but have lived most of my life in California. I'm a big Notre Dame football and Red Sox fan!

About Me

I'm not your "conventional" member of the Church. I'm LDS but I root for Notre Dame in all college sports. I live in southern California but I root for the Red Sox . I enjoy being different. I have been married now for over 30 years to the same young lady. I have 4 children, 3 are still with us. Two are married and one is serving a Mission for the Church. I've done a number of things in life such as serving in the Military, Public Education and Law Enforcement. I currently am building a business serving families going through Probate.

Why I am a Mormon

I first "chose" to be a Mormon when my mom decided her boys needed to have a male influence in their lives so she got us involved with the Church when we were young. Later on I fell in love with a beautiful young lady and was a member so I did what it took to be a member who was worthy to be married in the temple to this young lady. As I continued to learn and grow in the gospel I had a desire to have a personal testimony of the Church...something just for me so to speak. I read the Book of Mormon and upon completion I asked in prayer if the book was true...was this another testament of Jesus Christ. The answer for me was YES. I continue to learn and grow in the gospel...sometimes very slowly but there are many good people who I associate with that have patience with me and set a good example for me. One basic principle that I find in the Church which strengthens my testimony is witnessing so many good and intelligent people continue to sacrifice of themselves on a daily basis for the well-being of others. Would these intelligent people sacrifice so much for the well being of others if there was not a greater cause they understood and believed in?

How I live my faith

I currently serve in a leadership capacity within my Ward. There is a lot to do working with the Elders of my Ward; teaching, serving, helping in many different ways.
