Hi I'm nick

hello, i'm Nickolas David Thomas Pompana, But you can call me Klause and I have been a member of the church my whole life.

About Me

I love the church and everything about it. I have been a member of the church my whole life, but it has only been within the last four years of my life that i have really become a diligent servant of the Lord God. I was born and raised on a First Nations reserve and moved out to finish my education and pursue my music and more diligently serve the Lord. I love music, I love languages, I love cultures, I love counties, I love people. There seems to be some beauty and sign of a divine creator in this world and for that, I love everything.

Why I am a Mormon

Why do I choose to continue to live as a Latter Day Saint? Because being in a member of the church is a blessing everyday. The Lord is with me each and every day. With all the trails I have faced in my life, and by continuing to live as a member of the church and by praying and following the Lord, he will help me become all that I want to become. I love the church so much, and I hope to serve a faithful mission one day. I love my friends and am very blessed to have such loving family and loving friends. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." St John Chapter 15:13. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, if you desire a further witness, cast your mind upon the night that you cried unto me in your heart, that you might know concerning the truth of these things." D and C 6:22. When you are a Latter Day Saint, you are to serve the lord faithfully and bring others unto the fold of God and show them why you're so happy, show them this truth. How they can obtain forgiveness and a true knowledge of who they are and what they can become and where they're going and who they can help. This work is a great work, we must all put our minds and spirits together and bring the world unto Christ and his everlasting plan. Do you recall a time in your life when you felt truly forgiven? A time when you felt peace? The joy? The warm burning in your chest? Do you remember crying to the Lord asking forgiveness and receiving an answer? Partaking the sacrament? Well, I do. And I want to give people the chance to change themselves like I had. That's why I want to serve my mission and why I continue to live as a Latter Day Saint. To give others hope when there is no hope Show the them that they can build their house upon the rock of Christ and that the house will not fall because of the firm foundation. I think everybody should get that chance. Everybody should get the chance to see the light of Christ and choose whether to embrace it or not.

How I live my faith

I continuously look for opportunities to serve the Lord. It can be as simple as holding the door open or smiling at someone. I do things for the good of doing things and treat others as Christ did, with love and understanding. I try to read the Book of Mormon Or The Bible everyday and look for opportunities to teach and enlighten others and bring them unto Christ. I also look for opportunities to share my testimony of Christ and his everlasting love.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

not required but it is strongly encouraged. This helps them grow not only spiritually but physically, mentally and socially. It is like a stepping stone to helping an individual toward their eternal progression. It is completely voluntary and can help a young teen into a young adult. Show more Show less

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Woman do not hold the priesthood because the Lord has put it that way, but in no way are women any less significant to the Lord. "And now, he imparteth his word by angels unto men, yea, not only men but women also. Now this is not all; little children do have words given unto them many times, which confound the wise and the learned." - Alma 32-23. With this scripture we see that God holds women as equal to men. Women still receive revelation and answers from God, it is simply they have another calling in this life than that of the priesthood. an interesting thought that was brought up may help shed some light on this subject. "These two callings are like bridges necessary for the eternal life of all God's children. Motherhood being the first bridge from Pre Existence to Earth Life and the Priesthood being the bridge from this life to the next life, which is Eternal Life. When I mentioned priesthood being the bridge to eternal life I mean priesthood ordinances. And these ordinances are essential to gain eternal life." And as Gordon B. Hinckley said: “The men hold the priesthood, yes. But my wife is my companion. In this Church the man neither walks ahead of his wife nor behind his wife but at her side. They are co-equals in this life in a great enterprise.” It is about working together with God. Show more Show less
