Hi I'm Brooke

I grew up in the Seattle area. I'm a stay at home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay-at-home mom of three beautiful children. I love music, memory-keeping, cooking and making our house a home.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon, and came to know for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. As a teenager, I was so unhappy as I tried to be popular and cared too much about what others thought. But as I studied the scriptures and prayed, I came to realize that true happiness was found only in keeping the commandments and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I found that I was much happier if I cared only what God thought of me, instead of changing myself for others. As I have gone through life, each challenge and experience has solidified my faith in Jesus Christ. Each day I am so grateful to have the Gospel as the foundation of my life, and to know my Savior Jesus Christ. I feel His strength and love in the little daily challenges of life, as well as in my darkest, hardest trials. Even when I would otherwise feel alone and misunderstood, I know my Savior is there and understands me in a way that no one else can, and because of that He can help me in a way that no one else can. I depend daily on the strength and guidance I receive through prayer, reading the scriptures and words of prophets and apostles, and listening to sacred music. I have had too many experiences to ever deny that I know this is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know it with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I feel like the memebers of the Church are an extention of my family. I know I can depend on them to help me when I need it, and that they can count on me too. I love the opportunity to help take a meal to someone in need, to watch a friend's children, or anything else I can do to help someone. I have been asked to look of for three women in our ward, to call them and visit with them, to be their friend and help them. I also help with the program for children on Sunday's by playing the piano during singing time. I love being with the kids and feeling their sweet spirits. I love the children's music and the beauitful truths the songs teach - it is so powerful.
