Hi I'm Linda

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in California. 1 of 6 girls. My parents raised us to be very modest, kind and so much more.

About Me

I'm 57 right now. I grew up in the church. I have 6 sisters. I was the tomboy and hung out with my Dad on the construction site. He would take me to the races and when I was 16 I started racing. Now my son is a racecar driver for Nascar. He was 6 when I got him into racing. So that would sum up our hobby! Church was very important. My father made sure that on Mondays no one called because it was Family Home Evening. He was the Bishop for 12 years and always stressed to the ward NOT to call members on Monday nights so that their family home evenings were not interupted. I learned at a young age so much. I still remember the first scripture I memorized in primary. James 1:5 We were taught how our lives should be lived in a righteous way. But we were in for a shock when we got into the big bad world. It was then that those teachings really came into effect for us to fall back on.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Simple... I was 3 months old when my parents were baptized. So I was raised in the church. One of the lucky ones. I have gone to other churches with friends just to see what they were like. But something was missing. That spirit that is always with me at church. Life hasn't been perfect and I have had to really fight inside of myself to avoid certain situations but it was worth it. It always was.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to others. I take my granddaughters to church when I have them with me. They live several hours away so I have them on holidays and spring break and during other times. I try to act in a way that people would notice that there is something different about me than other people they may come in contact with.
