Hi I'm Jennifer

I love being a wife and mom! I love homeschooling, social media, and serving in my community. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to bake, enjoy the outdoors, and help in my community. Teaching my children to be grateful and serve others is a top priority. My family loves to vacation and enjoy holiday traditions. I love watching my children grow up but wish they could stay young too. However, I look forward to seeing what they will become. I hope they find the most success in life being good spouses and parents.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this faith answers my questions regarding who I am, why I am here, and what life is like beyond mortality. My religion offers hope and a purpose to live the best life. The belief that a religion should be organized as it was when Christ was on the earth makes sense to me. I believe that God still loves His people enough to have prophets now as He did in ancient times. I believe that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior, that He atoned for my sins, and through His grace I can be saved after all I can do. I believe that families should be together forever-not just in this life but life beyond the grave.

How I live my faith

I live my faith with hope. I attend church weekly. I try to be an example of a believer in word and action. One of my desires is to be an example to my children and others by serving as my Savior did when He was on the earth. I want to get to know my Savior more each day by trying to pattern my life after His and becoming more acquainted with Him through scripture. I may make mistakes but I know I can repent and try again. God's love for me and the grace extended through Jesus Christ's atonement gives me the hope I need to become a better person. Living my faith has given me great happiness and purpose and a great sense of gratitude. I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and feel humbled with the life I have been given.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We believe the Bible to be the word of God. My family enjoys learning from the stories of ancient prophets and apostles who help us to understand God's love for us. We read about the examples in the Bible that show us how to live more righteously. We also believe that God still loves us enough to have prophets on the earth today that share the same love for God and us as these ancient prophets and apostles did in the Bible. Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

I feel it is due to a lack of knowledge of our beliefs. For example, many friends I have discussed my faith with were unaware that Mormons believe in Jesus Christ and read The Holy Bible. We usually find that we have many common beliefs and our approach to living a good life is very similar. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

God sent us here to be part of a family. Adam and Eve were sent to earth and told to create a family. We believe this is an important part of God's plan for us. There is great joy in being a part of a family. As a mother, it is extremely humbling to know I hold this sacred responsibility to bring children in to this world to experience life and try to direct their paths to pursue righteousness. What a powerful role God has entrusted each woman to fulfill if capable. Working together in a family unit provides us with many opportunities to grow and develop as we learn to understand each other and support each other in this experience of life. Having and raising children with my husband has been the most rewarding experience of my life. Because of these special feelings I have regarding my family, I know and believe that the principle of eternal families is true. Show more Show less
