Hi I'm Kylie

I love architecture. I am married to my prince charming. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated in Architecture and Construction Management. Most girls don't choose to study in this predominately male field, but I absolutely love it! I am currently working while my husband goes to school. I love reading and developing my creative talents in many different ways.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life. Even though I was raised a Mormon, I still had to discover the truth of it for myself. During high school, and since, I have had many experiences where I have really had to rely on my Savior and find out for sure that I could truly say that I knew The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the Lord's true church on the earth. I was able to come to that knowledge for myself, and now, this gospel is a so much a part of my life and who I am now that I cannot deny the knowledge of its truthfulness I gained, or I would no longer be me. It brings so much peace to my life.

How I live my faith

Prayer is a major part of my life. Through prayer, I am able to communicate with my Heavenly Father. I know He knows and cares for me, and I know that He hears and answers my prayers. I make scripture study a part of every day. The Book of Mormon has so much truth and power in its pages! I attend my Sunday meetings regularly. I love reaching out to try to help those around me, especially the women I am asked to visit, know that I care. The things I do to "live my faith" are so much a part of who I am and all of the things that I do.

What do Mormons believe about family?

In “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” many Mormon beliefs about families are outlined. One of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ core beliefs is that family relationships can last forever—not just for this life. To me, the possibility of my family relationships lasting forever is one of the greatest blessings we can be given. In this life, it is hard to think of losing a loved one and never seeing them again. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ, we believe that we will see them again, and we can be with them forever. Family members who accept the Atonement of Jesus Christ and follow His example can be together forever through sacred ordinances performed in God’s holy temples. Jesus gave to Peter the power to have things sealed on earth and sealed in heaven (Matthew 16:19). This same sealing power was restored to Joseph Smith. We believe that they can be “sealed” or bound together through His power enabling them to live together in eternity. Show more Show less

What is the Relief Society?

Relief Society is the organization to which the women of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints belong. Its purpose is to build faith and personal righteousness, strengthen families and homes, and help those in need. Women need interaction with other women. We need to feel loved and appreciated. Relief Society helps us fill these needs while we work to uplift and strengthen one another and our families. Show more Show less

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The Living Prophet is called and appointed through His direction. When the living prophet dies, the senior Apostle becomes the next Living Prophet and President of the Church. The new prophet then selects his counselors from worthy and capable men. Together, these three men form the First Presidency of the Church. They work with with the Twelve Apostles to give guidance and direction to the Church. Show more Show less
