Hi I'm Emily Kennedy

I'm a neuroscientist. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old. I grew up in Utah, near Provo. I love it there. I attended school at Brigham Young University. I graduated in Dec. 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. I love all things brain. I am currently a missionary for the church in Portland, Oregon. When I am done with my service I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the happiness and peace that the gospel brings to my life. Even in hard times I can find joy in my Savior Jesus Christ and press forward with hope. I know that He is the life and light of the world. I know that He restored his gospel to the earth through Joseph Smith. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I read it every day and still somehow find something new that I never noticed before. It brings me such joy to know that I can repent and be forgiven of all the many things I mess up every day.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have such a strong conviction that Jesus is the Christ, that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, that the Book of Mormon is true, and because this knowledge makes me so happy, I want to share it with everyone. Mostly I live my faith in the little details of my life. Praying and reading the scriptures everyday gives me strength. I consciously make the effort to be more Christ like today than I was yesterday.
