Hi I'm Tucker Williams

I am a Popper. I Love Sports. I go to BYU and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Tigard Oregon, outside of Portland. Growing up i enjoyed camping and the outdoors. I loved to visit the mountains and the Oregon coast. I played just about every kind of sport, finally deciding that basketball was my favorite and i soon began to focus my time playing ball. I love to breakdance (popping) and beatbox. I dance for fun and competitively. I grew up close by to my grandparents and cousins, aunts and uncles. Family is the most important thing in my life and the greatest source of happiness. It was tough to spend a year away from them when i attended BYU in Utah. I grew to love the mountains and the campus and had the greatest time of my life so far during my freshman year. At the close of my Freshman year, along with most of my close buddies, decided that serving a two year mission for the Lord was the next step in my life. I went back home to work and prepare and then in the middle of summer i got called to serve in the Alaska, Anchorage Mission! I arrived in Alaska four days before christmas in a frozen land where i knew nobody. Why would i choose to do this? because i am a Mormon and i love the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the faith, but like all who have come before me, at one point i had to decide for myself my course of action. Because of my diligent and loving parents, i knew the gospel well and had all the knowledge to make the right choice. What stood out to me in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the emphasis on families. I love my family so much and i know that part of God's plan of happiness for us is to live eternally with our loved ones. As i lived the gospel i grew to know and feel that families are eternal. By going on a mission I excersized my faith to strengthen my testimony of other gospel principles like prophets, service, and repentance. That has been the best decesion of my life so far. I have greater peace and understanding of life, a greater love for my Father in Heaven, and a closer relationship with my family and that is why i still choose and will always choose to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

As a missionary and servant of the Lord i currently devote all my time and resources to living my faith. 18 hour days are filled with teaching, studying, serving, and loving all of God's Children. I do not say this to impress or boast but it is what is required as a missionary and it is what i have learned to love. Today a lot of people talk the talk but fail to walk the walk. I strive to live all that i teach and bear testimony about. I Share my faith with everyone who i see. I put the Lord's work above my personal comfort and selfishness.
