Hi I'm Josh Kauffman

I'm a Mormon. I was baptised back in 2006 while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces in Northern Japan.

About Me

I love reading, sight-seeing, and camping. I am currently attending college part time. I am working towards a history degree with the eventual goal of becoming a history teacher. I am presently serving in the United States Air Force overseas. I am married to a wonderful woman named Elizabeth.

Why I am a Mormon

I found a copy of the Book of Mormon at work one day, and that sparked an interest in the Church for me. My wife and I eventually started the missionary discussions. The fact that the Church could provide answers that no other church could provide was a big factor in our decision to get baptised. We were drawn to the idea that God still talks to His Church through prophets and personal revelation. Since we were baptised, the Church has been a huge blessing in our lives.

How I live my faith

I do home teaching which is always an absolute pleasure. I also occasionally teach at church, which can be intimidating, but it is so rewarding being able to help others build their faith. I am always trying to follow Christ's example and adhere to the standards given to us. I am not perfect and drop the ball from time to time, but that is part of being human. It keeps me humble and reminds me that I am a work in progress. The blessings my wife and I have received when we adhere to our commitments have been amazing.
