Hi I'm Felissa Quiñones

I'm a Mormon & I love to run, swim, cook, and write & it's all about them superheroes...so you can run and tell that homeboy!

About Me

Well I'm from Sin City(Las Vegas) Well I'm a happy person and try to smile every time I can, I have realized that it is better to smile then to be sad in these past years of struggles, but life is good. I like to write in my journal, go swimming, ride horses, go camping and running just for fun. Right now I am serving a full time mission in the Richmond Virginia Mission! I have been out for quite sometime, almost out and I am so happy to serve the Lord! It's been so fun! Such a growing experience and really just coming to learn to be like the Savior and being an example for others! And I just love to laugh at random things...pretty much everything and people think I am just crazy! I am really shy, quiet at first but once I know a person I just pretty much laugh at TODO!! I love my family even though we don't believe the same things sometimes, sadly my parents are separated and all my brothers are inactive/ non members, it's been rough but all the trials I've been through have helped me to become the person I am today, we have something that is called "TOUGH LOVE" but they're a blessing in my life, I have learned so much from all 6 brothers I love them all! I love to listen to music..it is the best stress reliever! I like to try new things! I was at BYU-I and I am planning hopefully to study Culinary Arts. I am so grateful for all the people that I have met so far and the AMAZING people I have met out here in the mission I love them so MUCH!! I gained a new family out here!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born within my LDS parents. But I know that without the gospel in my life I would be miserable. I enjoy being a member of the church, because there so many great blessings we can have if we do all that we can to follow God's commandments. I know that this gospel is true and that there is a plan for each and everyone of us, even when I think all hope is lost I search for my Father in Heaven and read my scriptures (Alma 37:37), I try to do the will of God even when it's hard to understand why bad things happen to good people . I know that my Savior lives and that He will come again. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and he saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove asking a simple question, and he was answered. I'm grateful for the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am also grateful for the many temples built all over the world it has been such a huge blessing in my life, if I could I would be there all day. Also that families can be sealed for life and eternity, as a family we have been through a lot but I have faith that my family will be one in the church and not a broken family and we will receive the promised blessings if we are faithful! I also know that we have a living prophet that leads us today and the 12 apostles that are by his side. I know that if we strive to live and keep the commandments, try to be like Him, by being an example to others and choosing the right and do what He has asked us to do, we will live with Him again and enjoy the blessings He has promised us. And we will be with our families forever. I know this is true, and that He loves us all no matter what,we are not perfect but each day I am trying to follow His example, by being a disciple of Jesus Christ (3 Nephi 5:13) I say these things in the sacred name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

What I do to live my faith is by going to church every Sunday and partaking of the sacrament to renew my covenants I have made with my Heavenly Father. I read my scriptures and I pray to know if the things I read are true, I have read it and I know without a doubt that it is the word of God and it testifies of Jesus Christ in every page. My testimony has grown every time I have read it. That helps me to understand more and to continue doing it. And on my mission I have learned to love and understand with more in depth the gospel of Jesus Christ and how it can bless EVERYONE!
