Hi I'm Robert Marshall (Bob) Johnston

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Certified Public Accountant. I have a small office employing my youngest daughter who is a degreed accountant and my granddaughter who in attending college. I tried to graduate college before my children but did not make it. I took me 33 years to get a Batchelors degree. In addition I employ two other young ladies. I am 72 years old, I enjoy what I do and do not plan to retire. I love to read, garden, and take walks.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church in Dallas in 1964. My life was in a shambles and I was looking for answers. I was 25 years old without any idea as to what I would do with my life. I had left college in 1960 with about 35 credit hours lacking for a degree in Accounting. My wife's sister and her husband took me in when I lost my job and my wife and two small boys went to live with her mother. I had no transportation, so I rode the city busses and found work near downtown. As I became interested in The Book of Mormon, I read it several times on the city bus going to work. The truth was shown me by the Holy Ghost and my wife and I were baptised. This was the most important thing I had done in my life at that point

How I live my faith

I am active in church as a staff member for the leaders of our area. I have taught young men, early morning seminary, and served several years as Bishop. I am attempting to act as the public affairs person for this area for the Church. In addition, my wife and I have been involves with the addiction recovery program sponsored by LDS Family Services for 9 years.
