Hi I'm Kristene

I have lived on 4 continents. I compose and arrange music. I'm an avid backpacker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother and grandmother and I love everything to do with family. I like to read and to be continually learning. I enjoy the creative arts, specifically music composition, photo editing, writing books, and blogging. My husband and I have served 3 missions, spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I have to say that I have always known that I have a Father in Heaven and that He watches over me. While I was growing up, I cared for my younger brothers and sisters. In doing so, I freely turned to God to receive strength and wisdom beyond my years. When I learned about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I felt as though I had always known it in my heart. So my transition and testimony of these divine doctrines were very natural and complete. The Gospel of Jesus Christ continues to sustain me as I battle difficult health challenges. My great desire is that all of God's children can learn of His plan of salvation.

How I live my faith

We live in a very rural area, where our neighbors are our dear friends. We like to look out for them and they do the same for us. One of my blogs that I am particularly proud of is "G&G.MTC." It is an interactive blog with our grandchildren, where we discuss missionary work and actively prepare for upcoming missions. I am the organist for our congregation and I help arrange and plan for musical numbers and choir numbers. I love working with the youth and endeavor to involve them all I can. I also work one day a week in our LDS Temple in Medford.
