Hi I'm Natasha Luker

"Called to serve Him, heavenly King of glory, chosen e'er to witness for his name"

About Me

I am an Idaho girl that loves to spend time with my family, play the piano, entertain children and serve. I have 3 siblings. I love them and am so grateful for their examples to me. I have been playing the piano since I was 5. I love it with all my heart! I find great peace and joy in sitting down at the piano and just playing. I am currently attending BYUI as a child development major with a minor in music. I served in the Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh Mission. Pennsylvania is beautiful! I love the people there so much. I am grateful everyday and for the experiences I had. I will always cherish that tim there. It wasn't the easiest 18 months of my life but it was definitely the best 18 months for my life. It changed me for the better. I love the gospel with all of my heart and am so grateful for the opportunity I have to share it and bring others to Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I know the church is true!!! I love it with all my heart! It has always been a part of my life and I cannot imagine my life without it. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us. He loves us so much that He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins. Because of the atonement, we are never alone. Our Savior's arms are Always extended to us. We are able to run to him. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he restored this church to the earth again. He also restored the priesthood (or authority to act in God's name). I know that he translated the Book of Mormon and that it is the word of God and another testament of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful to have the Book of Mormon and know that it is true. It really does answer questions and helps me gain a better understanding of this gospel. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet today. He leads and guides this church through revelation from our Heavenly Father. He is amazing! I love this gospel and know that it is true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being true to the standards that I have. I try my hardest to always be an example and a light to everyone around me. This gospel makes me happy and I want others to see that. Smiling really does uplift others. I try to stay positive and optimistic when trials come into my life. Knowing that I have a loving Savior that atoned for my trials, pains, sicknesses etc is comforting. I know that I am never alone and that I do have someone to go to. I have really grown to learn, love, and feel more about the Savior's love for all of us.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Natasha Luker
Joseph Smith was just a normal kid that was searching for answers. At just a young age, 14, Joseph really wanted to know which of the churches were true. He followed the scripture James 1:5, in the bible, that says "if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God." Joseph did just that. He went to the Sacred Grove and knelt down and prayed to his Heavenly Father to know which of the the churches were true. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him to join none of the churches for they were not true. Many of the churches had little pieces of the truth, but were missing the Priesthood authority. Joseph restored this church to the earth again. Along with the Priesthood power. He was a prophet (or mouthpiece) of God. Show more Show less
