Hi I'm Justin

I am a Son, Brother, Friend, Husband, Father and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I appreciate the beauty and marvel of all creation, from the consciousness and senses which afford appreciation of intricacies and infinite, to the purposes and promise of continuation. There are many ways i enjoy the gifts of time, ability and life as i know it, and as it continues to become; it just keeps getting better (which is necessarily easier or more pleasant in every moment). I value being together as a family, learning, working, serving and becoming who we have come to become. We live in the Northeastern USA, it is a beautiful land of prevailing nature, with seasons, mountains, freedom and opportunity; it is where we feel we belong at this time. Among other ways, i enjoy these gifts by hiking, snowshoeing, cycling on and off road, kayaking, climbing, writing, reading (much of my 'reading' is listening while driving), praying, pondering and watching water move - i love how water is. My work is in making buildings operate efficiently and comfortably with mechanical system controls, i enjoy the diverse experiences afforded by my work; having varied responsibilities over the years from installation to engineering. I am also interested in clean, renewable resources for energy and energy storage.

Why I am a Mormon

Our Father in Heaven makes known His will, His will is our salvation, He knows precisely what salvation is, and has the opportunity prepared for us, by the grace of His Son, that we may choose this liberty, and eternal life - an unspeakable joy that continues to unfurl like leaves from springtime buds on the tips of the trees; whatever season i am in, i know He is helping me to prepare, to grow, to endure and to rest - to return to His presence while enjoying the way. This is why i choose to accept Him. I know He first accepted me; He is the way, He is the life, His invitation is to come - i am a member of His Church in response to His invitation.

How I live my faith

Moment by moment. I accept and appreciate the opportunities for service in His Church, doing my best to improve lives and, not only encourage others, but myself as well, to live the life He sustains, that which draws us into unity. I love the scripture: Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. I take this as an invitation, and explanation, of service; there is joy in the journey, and salvation is the result. I have belonged to His Church since 1999, i often realize opportunities i have been missing (by ignorance, lack of application or disobedience), and inasmuch as i have sought to understand, apply and repent; i have been strengthened by the Lord, comforted and taught by the Holy Ghost, and assured of the love and welcome of my Heavenly Father. I have been given callings in local missionary work, teaching children's Sunday school, Scouts, and various leadership and ministering opportunities. I am grateful for the assignments in Home Teaching, those who come to my home bless my family, and i enjoy being a part of such in the homes and families of my congregation. Service and callings in Church are, i hope, a lesser part of my time i am doing my best to live the Gospel and uplift those about me; whether at work, in my community, or most importantly, in my family - in this i especially depend upon my beloved wife. Her sustaining influence, with that of the Holy Ghost, makes for success in all righteous endeavors.
