Hi I'm Megan

I grew up in Utah. I'm a nursing student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Marriage and Family - What I believe: I believe in The Family: A Proclamation to the World. In this proclamation it declares that the first commandment God gave to Adam and Eve was to multiply and replenish the earth, and that commandment is still in force today. I believe that the greatest blessing given to us from our Father in Heaven is the ability to create families. I believe that through temple marriage of a man and woman, eternal bonds and relationship are formed. Marriage of a husband and wife made through ordinances and covenants in the Holy Temple is a divine blessing and one that will bless the lives of generations to follow. I believe that in marriage husband and wife should strive to live and keep their covenants so that they may receive all the blessings that God has to offer. When these covenants are kept, marriage is successful and can endure through any hard times. I believe that a married couple are commanded to bring forth children, because it is part of God's plan. I believe that the ability to bear children is a divine responsibility and blessing. When it comes to parenting, Fathers are to provide, protect, and preside in the home. They are to righteously use their priesthood to bless the lives of all the members of the family. Mothers are responsible for the nurturing and teaching of their children. The proclamation states that the family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and women as well as bearing children is essential to the eternal plan.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and atoned for the sins of everyone, so that we may have eternal life with our Father in Heaven and our families, if we come unto him. I am a Mormon because I love the feeling I get when I attend sacrament meeting or the temple. I love the way the spirit testifies to me of the truthfulness of the Gospel and the plan of salvation. I am a Mormon because I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and he translated the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because through this gospel I have come to have faith. Faith that if I am obedient and strive to live righteously, I will be blessed not only in this life, but for eternity. I am grateful for the blessings being a Mormon brings, such as the knowledge of my Father in Heaven's divine, perfect, and eternal nature. I am a Mormon because I know that it is the true Church upon the earth today and through this gospel I can obtain eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

I Live My Faith through participating in church callings. Each Sunday, my husband and I participate in teaching the children of the church. We prepare lessons to teach and bear our testimony to them so that they may learn of the eternal truths of the gospel. I also live my faith through participating in prayer and scripture study at home with my family. I try to live my faith by being kind to those around me and helping whoever I can. I try to learn how to serve others better so that I may be a true disciple of Christ, by living the way he did.
