Hi I'm Ken

I'm a husband and a student, I love living in California, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life! I am currently a Law Student, and I absolutely love learning about the law. I plan to be a "good" lawyer (not a "liar" some like to say) and to use my degree to help people solve their problems. When studying gets overwhelming I play basketball. Needless to say, I've played a lot of basketball over the past few months. I have a wonderful wife who puts up with me, even when I'm cranky. I love her more than I can explain. While our lives aren't perfect, we try to look for the daily blessings that the Lord sends our way. If we look, they are not hard to find.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because through prayer, my Heavenly Father has guided me in this direction. I grew up a member of this church. However, a time came in my life that I had to make up my mind - do I keep going, or not? I remember distinctly one night praying sincerely to my Heavenly Father. I asked him if the Church was true, or if I had been wasting my time all these years attending church with my parents. My Heavenly Father answered my prayer. He didn't send a lightning bolt, or scream over a megaphone. He instead placed a powerful, peaceful feeling in my heart that I cannot deny came from Heaven. The beauty of this Gospel is that nobody should join or remain in it based on someone else's beliefs. We should all ask God for ourselves for guidance. I know that if we pray, and sincerely seek a response, He will listen and answer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. My parents taught me at a young age the importance of serving others. I had the wonderful opportunity to serve a 2 year mission for my church in the country of El Salvador when I was 19. This was an experience that impacted my life immensely. I try to help others whenever and however I can, whether it be helping someone move, jump start a car, or giving someone a call. My wife and I teach a Sunday School class for the 8 year old children at church. It is very fun and rewarding! We love teaching that class and feel like we learn for from those sweet kids than they learn from us.
