Hi I'm Brady Pitchford

I am from Idaho. I grew up with a rope in my hand. I love to rodeo and be in the saddle. I'm a cowboy and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from southeastern Idaho. I grew up with my family roping, rodeoing, and working outdoors on my families ranch. I rodeo competetively and also played basketball throughout Junior High and High School. Being on the hardwood floor of a basketball court and under the lights in the dirt of an arena are very familiar places for me. I love being with my family and spending time working and having fun with them. My family is everything to me and time spent with them, whether rodeoing, working, or just hanging out, is a great blessing to me. Growing up i was taught to work: fencing, hauling hay, training horses, and other everyday chores that come with the responsabilities of a ranch and a horse business. I love to succeed. I am a firm believer that if you are going to do something, give it 110% and do it with passion. Love what you're doing and do it to win. I am going to put myself around people who are positive and who will push me and make me rise to new heights. I love to compete and have a huge competetive edge, thanks to my dad. Whether it be a rodeo, a basketball game, or the gospel of Jesus Christ, I am here to do my best and to be the best.

Why I am a Mormon

The restored Gospel of Jesus Christ brings true and lasting happiness to myself and my family. I know without a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Jesus Christ's one and only true church on the earth today and that within this church we have his proper priesthood authority. The knowledge that I have because I am a part of this church brings happiness and hope to me, especially in the downs and trials of life. I know that although there are fun things in this world, such as rodeo and basketball, they are only temporary and that being a deciple of Jesus Christ and living his gospel is what am I here on this earth to do. I know that that is what we are all here to do. I would never trade anything for the happiness and knowlege of my Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, that I have because of this church and gospel. I know that because of this gospel I will be with my family, and those I love most, forever and that this life is not the end. I know that no matter where I go in life or how down I get, there is always hope and always a way back to our Heavely Father through the Atonement of our savior, Jesus Christ. I know that I have to work at this gospel and always work to be better and when I do I have the Lord's promise of his spirit to be with me and to receive blessings from heaven. There is no other church or gospel I would rather be a part of than Christ's own, his one and his only, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of action. I know I have a long ways to go and many things to improve in my life, but the Gospel makes this possible. I try to be an example at all times. Christ's life was a life of example and i try to live my faith in the same way, by serving others around me and always trying to live and do as Jesus Christ would. I am not perfect and do not always succeed at living this way but can always repent and try harder and work to improve. I am serving a mission for the Church right now in the Texas Lubbock Mission, and everyday I am trying to be a representative of Jesus Christ and share his gospel. I know that if I always do and act in a way that the Lord will be pleased with me, then I am living my faith. Whether I am with my family, friends, or others that i may not know, I want to do as Jesus Christ would and always choose the right. By serving others and willingly standing up for the principals and thruths I know to be right and true, I am blessed by the Lord and am doing exactly what he asks of me. I want to live my faith through obedience to the Lord and his commandments, and want to share those things with other people around me.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Brady Pitchford
Joseph Smith was a man. He was not a God or another savior as many peole think we believe. But Joseph Smith was chosen by God to play a very immportant role in the Restoration of Jesus Christ's church. Joseph Smith asked God through prayer which church was the correct church. At that time none of the churches were fully correct and this is what was told to Joseph Smith by Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith received more guidance from God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ and was called as a prophet of God, the same as Moses, Noah, Isaiah, and others were prophets. Joseph Smith was truely called of God to bring restore the fulness of Christ's gospel on the earth so that we can have the knowledge, happiness, and direstion that God wants for us to have. As evidence that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and for direction and learning for us in our day, Joseph Smith was commanded by God to translate a book of ancient scripture which is today know as The Book of Mormon. God called Joseph Smith to translate this book so that we can know of the truthfulness and importance of Jesus Christ's gospel and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Show more Show less
