Hi I'm Cathy Green

I grew up in Idaho. I am a nurse, wife, mother of 7 and Grandmother of 20. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I always wanted to be a nurse and became an R.N at age 19. I have been an R.N. for 42 years. I worked as an ER nurse for 16 years which was my favorite place to work, but have also worked in pediatrics, same-day surgery and have been a school nurse. I love children, especially my own seven and twenty grandchildren. I also received a degree in Social Work and Child Development. I have gone to the Philippines twice with Operation Smile. I love reading and learning. My husband and I are now serving a mission together for our church.

Why I am a Mormon

My loving parents raised me in the LDS faith, but through study, prayer and fasting I received my own personal testimony of the restoration of Christ's church in the latter-days through his prophet, Joseph Smith. I love reading but my favorite book to read is the Book of Mormon. It contains the fullness of His Gospel and and answers to all life's searching questions. It has been the hand book I have used for raising our children.

How I live my faith

I have been involved in church service through the years by working with the children and youth organizations of the Church. I have also served in the women's organization of the Church where we serve, teach and support each other. My husband and I are now serving what we hope to be the first of many missions for the Church, helping others find the joy of the Gospel and by serving in what ever capacity we are called to do. There are no skills or talents that the Lord cannot use. I love my Savior and hope to serve Him always.
