Hi I'm Ben Nelson

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Education: I graduated from Salem Hills HS in Utah. I plan on attending BYU after my mission. Career: I am going to be an LDS Seminary/Institute Instructor or pursue film/video production for the Church. Hobbies: I love making films with my friends. 4-wheeling and camping. A good game of basketball or football. Watching movies. Family: I am in the middle of 7 children. (4 boys, 3 girls).

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints provides a foundation for a loving and successful atmosphere. Growing up in the church has been a wonderful blessing, but I still have made the effort to live the doctrine and principles of the Christ's Gospel for myself. I see the Gospel as an outlet for building great men and women. Also, it provides peace to the questions of where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going. The plan of salvation is happiness with the Atonement of Jesus Christ as its pinnacle expression of love. I know the Book of Mormon is of God. It teaches the words of Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ encourages, and supports me in my efforts to be a better friend, son, and person.

How I live my faith

I live my life in accordance to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it is engrained and weaved into who I am. I don't think of church as a meeting that takes place on Sunday, but as an opportunity to live a life full of peace and happiness. Living by the commandments of Christ is a liberating gift. I am grateful for the opportunity I have to serve my friends, family and others who are in need. It just feels right.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Ben Nelson
They will talk about glorious news. They will bring the greatest news anyone can ever hear. It is the news that Jesus Christ is our Savior from sin, and that we have a loving Father in Heaven. They will tell you our Heavenly Father's plan, which is a plan of Salvation, for us to return to Him and live in peace, love, and happiness. Show more Show less
