Hi I'm Chip Tobey

I became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) some 40 years ago.

About Me

I'm about 60, father of 5, all married. I have 15 grandkids. I've worked at GE, NCR and several other firms. Right now I work for Ernst and Young. The common thread to my career is consulting and technology.

Why I am a Mormon

I made a choice in college to join the church. I did so after reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it. I felt strongly it was just as reported by Joseph Smith as an ancient record of people who lived here in the Americas anciently and is a second record testifying of the divinity of Christ. Since then, I have had many experiences that have convinced me it is true and while other Christian faiths have a part of the truth, this is the only place where the Lord's word is revealed in its fullness.

How I live my faith

Each day I try to make choices that are in harmony with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and show myself as His disciple. I visit the homes of members of the church to help and administer to needs. Outside the church I look for opportunities to help those around me.
