Hi I'm Xochitl Perla Burnett

I grew up in Washingtion. I am a BYUI pathway program student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student and I love to learn. I hope to be able to finsih school in five years and become a teacher. Some of my hobbies are playing tennis with my husband and learning to sow. I served a mission in the Spain Barcelona mission which is now one mission the Madrid mission. I loved being a missionary and since I have been home I have had the blessing to work with children. I am married. However I do not yet have children of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life. I grew up in a small town with many churches. My parents are converts to the church. I have always felt the The Church Of Jesus Christ is True. I recived my testimony when I was in high school. As I attended seminary and Young Womens I started feeling the Spirit testify to me that what I was being taught was true. I have had many experiences in my life that have strengthend my testimony. I recently was in a car accident in which I almost died. My car caught ice and it slid off the road and rolled three times landing upside down in a creek. I was drowning and got to the point where I couldn't breath. I thought for a moment well this is it I am going to die, I can't breath. I stopped trying to get air and almost gave up on trying to live. I was able to think of my family and how I didn't want to leave them yet. So I prayed with all my heart that God would let me live. God did let me live he helped me breath and he protected me for an hour and forty minuets. I was able to leave the hospital five hours after they took me in. I left the hospital with zero broken bones or sprains. God not only protected me he saved me from all physical injuries. I know he was with me the entire time. I know that every day that I live is a miracle from God. I know he loves me and wants me to finish my mission in the life.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher for young women in the church. I teach the fourteen and fifteen year olds. I leave being a teacher in the church. I also love to share my testimony about my savior Jesus Christ and his love for all of us.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Xochitl Perla Burnett
We come to know our father in heaven as we ponder the scriptures. We also come to know him as we pray and keep his commandments. Show more Show less
