Hi I'm Carlos Garcia

I grew up in North Carolina, I work with music, and I go to school at Latter-Day Business College in Salt Lake City. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

HI, my name is Carlos, a little about myself, hmm, Ok well I love music, its been a love of mine ever since I can remember. I am a Dj and I love to have a good time. I love to hang out with friends at home hahah and on occasions out somewhere. Though many people find me to be "into myself", Im not! hhaha I really love to help others, i dont know why.. its just a huge satisfaction for me :) many times i put others before me, which i have been told is bad, but its ok. hahaha I did serve a 2yrs mission in Argentina, which by the way is an awsome country!! I feel in love with the people, they all helped me grow stronger. I have a wonderful family!! was born and raised by 2 great parents! I am what you call a MAMA'S boy so, i get cool points for that all the time, hahah but I will never forget is the lesson she gave me, she had told me when i was in high school that we are not of this world, at that time i didnt understand what she ment. I remember one day when i was taking her to work, we got in a heated disscusion, as she was trying to encourage me to stay away from worldly things, I kept telling her that we live in this world therefore we are part of this world. Well it got to a point to where i told her that she didnt know anything and that i was right, she almost cried :( Then while on my mission, as I was teaching a discussion, I came across a scripture in the Bible where Christ said "Ye my Chldren are not a part of this world", That right there was my turning point...

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel means everything to me! I seen it through my parents! I have come a long way with a rough jouney. As I said in the "about me" section, When I got in the argument with my mother as she told me that I am not of this world, and i repeatedly told I was cause I live in this world, I just remember her firm and strong testimony and certaincy on how we are a part of a better world. When i reached my mission, during one of the missionary discussion, I remeber coming across a scripture in the Bible, I can not remeber the exact scripture at this moment, but it was Christ talking to the people saying that we are childern of God, and that we are not of this world, we come from better world. That to me was my turning point and a slap in my face... I could not help but think about by mothers firm testimony she bore to me in that car, and of my foolish talk that made her cry and scared for what i might become. I know for myself that we are children of God! He loves us dearly!! And He has brought us to this world to over come challenges to better ourselfs and prove to him that we are and can stay worthy to enter his Kingdom. I love my mother for that lesson she taught me, for that I am a better person, I am Royalty, I have Value, because I am not of this world, I am from the World were my Father in Hevaen is and Jesus Christ has made it possible for us to return. I know this is True and this is what keeps me going in life. His blessings surround me and I will show my gradittude by praiseing his name, and sharing it with others, in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

Recently, I have returned froma 2 year mission in Argentina, this service for my church was not only edifying for me, but I was also able to help out my brothers and sisters all over the world in anything they needed. Now that i am home I try not only to spread my faith with my friends but I live it so they can see who I really am. Its a joyful experiance for me to hear from people, "Why don't you smoke" "why dont you drink" "Why wait till your married" after I explain i have done my job, by setting the example and bringing questions. They all think I have it made, because they see my blessing, even though I have my trials as well, but through the Gospel, I can keep going.
